This time in salmon and orange watercolor and both cards will be on their way this Monday!
I first did both card with one mother in mind as a request from her husband. Since he trusted me for the design, I tried to make it from the color of her wedding bouquet (Hint: I use the same roses in my product photo). Plus my website some warmth in it!
I used similar watercolor technique for the background as Justin's card but using Rose Dore and Indian Yellow from Windsor&Newton instead. I want an angle text to balance the straight stroke of the brush. I love how much more modern the white ink calligraphy look in this set!
I haven't show any back of the card but since I make extra, I can finally display it too! This one is done in similar color but with gold ink instead. The border is actually a happy accident from two failed cards. I'm almost done with the card when my hair decided to join the fun and mingled with the wet ink. So I cut up the other watercolor card that I don't like as a border and slap another drawing paper on top. Add some gold ink, and voila, it looks pretty sleek!
I sure hope both mothers will cherish these cards as much as I do!
