I've been living in United States for almost 10 years but I have yet to set foot in Seattle! I went to Portland once for a college field trip and Seattle has been in my US travel bucket list ever since. So I'm pretty excited when Nicole from Hint of Chic contacted me on a collaboration in Seattle with Sarah Carpenter! As always, my paper did way more traveling than I ever could. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
I love the beautiful landscape of this Lake Cushman and so excited with the direction that Nicole took for the shoot. From the perfectly icy gown, to the amazing floral, and the gorgeous ballerina model who embody the word "grace". Inspired by the scenery, we decided for a muted and cool color scheme. Accents of silver and bronze for the addressing and a richly textured blue handmade paper. I carry the same thought process for my vintage stamps selection, with their color selections and the theme of the stamps.
Personally, I love having my suites styled on it's natural elements. Nothing showcase the connection between my inspiration and my labor of love like the styling my suite on top of the gorgeous tumbled rock from the lake itself. It's always the little things that add the special details to your suite!
And a very special thanks to Magnolia Rouge for including this beautiful shoot in their recent magazine publication!
