I got extra lucky that there are not one, but two amazing photographers who collaborate on Clairmont Lavender Farm for a styled shoot! The two amazing ladies are Tanya from Tenth and Grace and Jennifer from Jennifer Kulakowski Photography.
You can view Tanya's photo here. I was planning to share Jennifer's photo earlier but there's way too much amazing photos, it took some time to edit some images out.
I've mentioned personal favorite piece from this styled shoot before which is the quote on leather journal. It seems like I'm not the only one since I got a few questions of how-to on Instagram. I'm not good on hoarding secret so, here's how I do calligraphy on a leather journal cover.
First, I chose a leather journal with a little bit more tooth. For the placement, I use a white glass pencil which can be clean afterward. Once I'm happy with the layout, I use a fine Sakura Pentouch to a faux calligraphy on top. Basically, I write my calligraphy cursive and fill in the down stroke. Once the ink is properly dried, I erased the guidelines and voila! Really simple! I don't think the writing can take a lot of man-handling so I won't recommend it for a work journal but it's perfect to put personal touch on your home-bound journal.
Anyway, I'm so in love with everything about this shoot and oh so proud to contribute a small part in it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do too!
